| Marco Molinaro, Ph.D., is the Chief Education Officer for CBST and oversees all educational activities. Marco’s areas of expertise include biophysical chemistry, technology use in instruction, and informal science education. Marco’s areas of interest include: technology use in science education, methods for facilitating public understanding of research, integrating cutting edge scientific research and researchers with the formal and informal educational enterprises, and approaches to attracting, engaging, and retaining underrepresented students in science. | |

| Ana M. Corbacho, Ph.D., is the Assistant Director for Higher Education. Ana has research and teaching experience in the fields of biology, physiology and endocrinology. Ana is especially interested in the development of Research Inquiry Based Activities and Professional Identity Development Tools. Ana oversees all elements of the Community College Winter Internship and Summer Undergraduate Internship. |

Jodie A. Galosy, Ph.D., is the Assistant Director of Teacher Professional Development and Evaluation. Jodie's areas of expertise include K-12 science education, teacher development and educational evaluation. Jodie is interested in studying teacher learning and the connections between teacher and student learning in science education. Jodie assists teachers in our partner high schools, plans level I and II teacher research academies, and directs evaluation of CBST educational activities. |
| Alisa Lee is the Teacher Professional Development Leader at CBST. After graduating from UC Davis with a BS in Environmental Biology and Management with an emphasis in Conservation she conducted wetland research and worked an an Environmental scientist. She has 13 years of experience in Northern Ca. educational systems. Prior to CBST she worked in the STEM enrichment field with California State University, Los Rios Community College and University of California systems as the Education Coordinator for the MESA program (K-12) and as Director of the CSU Sacramento Business Education Science Team (BEST) program. Alisa coordinates and facilitates all teacher activities and grants at CBST including the SBCE project. Her areas of interest include environmental biology, community programs, and working with K-12 students and teachers. |
| Michelle McCombs, M.S., M.A. is the CBST Curriculum and Evaluation Coordinator. Michelle’s expertise is in Chemistry as well as Science Education. Michelle’s interests include curriculum development and evaluation. Michelle is the primary person synthesizing her work and that of the ISET Team into a coherent curriculum for high school. She also works with Jodie to ensure that evaluations are developed and carried out.

| James Shackelford, Ph.D., is the Associate Director for Education, a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at UCD and serves as the Director of the Integrated Studies Honors Program (ISHP). He teaches and conducts research in the areas of materials science, the structure of materials, nondestructive testing, and biomaterials. At CBST Jim focuses on community colleges and team teaching an introductory course on biophotonics to ISHP freshmen. Here he is shown spreading the word of Biophotonics at the Temple of Apollo – the God of Light.

Michael Wright is a CBST 7-12 Science Education Specialist. Michael has taught high school science and served as department chair, coach and mentor teacher. Michael coordinated the CURE Program during the 2007-2008 school year, directed the Center HS Research Academy, mentored CURE and CHS students' science fair projects, and the CBST middle school program. Michael is interested in articulating with local high schools to develop biophotonic related courses and programs. |
